Dr. Khong
Dr. Khong holds a PhD in Solid State Physics. His distinguished career spans executive leadership roles across semiconductor manufacturing, data storage technology, microprocessor assembly, and the solar energy sector, alongside extensive contributions to academia as a university professor and faculty dean. A veteran organizer, he was instrumental in the greenfield startup of two manufacturing facilities and two private universities. Prior to founding PowerSains, he served as the CEO of Tech Dome Penang, playing a pivotal role in the inception, launch, and strategic growth of the world-class science center. In recognition of his foundational contributions to STEM promotion, he was conferred the Darjah Johan Negeri (DJN) by the Penang State Government in 2018.
Tengku Nasariah Binti Tengku Syed Ibrahim
Tengku Nasariah is the founding and former CEO of PETROSAINS, Malaysia's premier science discovery center. An Industrial Economics graduate from Nottingham University, she initiated her career as a strategic planning engineer for major Oil & Gas projects before being selected to spearhead the development and construction of both the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas Concert Hall and PETROSAINS at KLCC. She steered PETROSAINS for over two decades, expanding its nationwide impact through extensive community outreach frameworks and regional satellite centers. Demonstrating versatile institutional leadership, she simultaneously directed the Petronas Art Gallery from 2006 to 2009. An internationally esteemed figure in science center management, Tengku Nasariah advocates for the holistic intersection of Music, Arts, and Science in modern education.
Samuel Shee Han Juan
DescriptionAn alumnus of Chung Ling High School, Samuel holds a degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Western Australia. He began his professional career within the pharmaceutical supply and distribution networks serving public and private clinical institutions in Perth, Western Australia. Transitioning back to Malaysia to capitalize on the rapidly evolving technology sector, Samuel pivoted into corporate information technology and technical infrastructure. He leverages his background in the life sciences and digital technology ecosystems to drive operational strategy, hardware integration, and technical curriculum localization at PowerSains.
Gerard Benedict
Gerard is an accomplished documentary producer, writer, and director with over 35 years of experience in the broadcast and mass media industries. He began his media career in radio broadcasting before moving to television in 1984 as one of the pioneer news presenters for TV3. In 1991, Gerard co-founded Code Computer Design, an enterprise specializing in high-end computer animation, educational media production for the Ministry of Education, and international documentaries for global networks including the History Channel and commercial television networks in Japan. A trained educator by qualification, Gerard holds an MA in Communication Management from the University of South Australia, seamlessly bridging media narrative design with educational outreach.
